Comments from Carol Gabriel:

NCIWC’s ASFA/AKC Coursing weekend was a huge success in spite of rain, wind, and freezing temperatures !

We always prevail !  Happy people and happy dogs .

This weekend was in memory of Terry Burchett, and I know he was looking down on us with pride. Comments heard, as people looked at his Memorial Poster, were filled with love for this very special guy .

Youngest and cutest person attending was Henry Casterson cheering on his four-legged brother, Riker!

Aggie Lawrence was BOB both days.  Other wolfhounds running were Bailey Mesa, Tanner Gabriel, Riker Casterson, Keeva Steele, and Jack Lum/Ishihara.

Comments from Cindy Steele:

Thank you to all who came out the the NCIWC Lure Coursing Trials!  We were missing Terry and Robin Burchett, talk about BIG shoes to fill.

The trial could not have gone off without so many club members.  Tackling the big job as Trial Secretary was Junko Ishihara, assisted by Alice Stark and Barbara Galligan.  Carol Gabriel managed the check in (how does she do that so fast?) and the paddock.

The Fabulous field crew – Kevin Steele, Frank Mesa, and Tyler Casterson.  Greg Witt was there to coach.

Carol put together a beautiful tribute poster to Terry, everyone came over to share memories and swap stories, some were hilarious!  Prayers were offered for a quick recovery for Robin.

The judges and members of other clubs were so kind and supportive as they shared their knowledge with us.

Support for set up and breakdown was Nick Stark, Mary Vartikian Mesa and Emily Casterson!

Beautiful, but cold weather Sunday.  Saturday was cold, wind, sleet, hail and rain, but the luck of the wolfhound, the sun was shining over the award announcements.
