We Honor Our Past Friends and Hounds

Robin Burchett

Our club lost part of our history with the passing of Robin Burchett on July 9, 2026.

 Robin was a significant contributor to the Northern California Irish Wolfhound Club and the greater Irish Wolfhound community. She was the editor of The Bugle, a former Membership Chair and ran the IWF Heart Health Screening Clinic at our Specialty for many years.  Robin and her husband Terry were well known in the lure coursing circles; she was Field Trial Secretary while Terry was the lure operator.

 She bred and showed champion Irish Wolfhounds under their kennel name Tory Irish Wolfhounds. In addition to her dedication, she was a kind and loving person who was always willing to help and mentor new people.  She will be remembered for her bright smile and cheerful, warm attitude.  

Our club and the Irish Wolfhound community will greatly miss her. We find comfort imagining her reunited with her husband, Terry, and her beloved hounds.

August 29, 2026 Memorial Robin Burchett

The Dillon Beach " Celebration of the life of Robin Burchett"  was a magical day.  The tributes to her brought both tears and laughter.

The loving Poster was put together by Cindy Steele.  Also on display was Robin's final Hounds Bugle.  The Club's Decade Book showed the early TORY days.  5 pages, with lots of pictures, were enjoyed by everyone.  

The fog was so dense on the way to Dillon Beach that you could hardly see the road !   THEN, as people arrived, the sun came out.  The weather was perfect!!

I tried to capture as much of this glorious day, as possible, in photos.  Robin was VERY special, loved by us all, and will never be forgotten.
